Capacity Counters
The CT220 series of microprocessor based capacity counters are designed to monitor the numbers of vehicles passing through control points such as the entrance and/or exit of a car park.
The Capacity counters monitor relay pulses usually from loop detectors to either increment or decrement the count depending upon whether the detector is at an exit or entrance.
The counters can be used in conjunction with OPEN/FULL signs and SPACE/FULL signs to indicate when the number of available spaces has reached zero.
Capacity counters can be combined with access controllers to inhibit access at an entrance when a car park is full. They can also form part of a traffic control mechanism such as a lane access filter.
The active memory system ensures that the last count is stored during power failures of up to an hour or longer, automatically restoring the count on power-up again.
